Anybody who has played Startropics 2 has had to have noticed the wizard that revives you when you die. One would assume, with such a pivotal role, that there would be a bit of introduction to this wizard. But no, the faithful 8-bit crusaders that play are left with what? Nothing. That is what I am here for. To make up a story behind this humble old wizard with cloak and Cap.
As a little boy, the wizard had no friends. Being the only one, ever, to be blessed with the abilities of wizardry, everybody was scared of him.
Of course, his magic was not always refined. When he was little, he would often turn things into food. His mother and father once lost a bed, 2 TVs, a dresser, and a parakeet because our little wizard was hungry.
By age 12, however, the wizard found a 30 year old man wandering the streets who said he could help him.
The wizards parents gave the man 2 meals a day to teach the wizard how to refine his skills and learn to be a great wizard. The man only knew this because he was a comic book tycoon untill luck struck him wrong and he became a bum.
After 40 long years, the wizards skills were finally refined. The parents took the old man off the payroll after aboot a month because he stopped bathing, but he had the wizard steal food and money from his parents to give to him.
On the wizards last day of training, the old man gave him the best advice anyone could. Find yourself a young playmate. So the wizard chose the old mans nephew, Mike. That's right, folks, the old man is the famed historian, Dr. J.
So mike and the wizard became best friends.
