Superb! You have made the excellent choice of visiting the bio page. You know very well what this is, so I am gonna get right to it.

Me, the person I know best, what should I say about me? Well, I can tell you that I am currently 16 (turning 17 this year), I live and grew up on the west coast, and I like pie. I will fill out a quick survey for you to read, so you can learn more about me.
Friends: I have a variety of freinds, the most notable being: Cal, Zimo, Ton, Seever, Marco, Joel, JeffyPop, Jeyasankar Kottalom, Diana, Nick, Daniels, whatevah.
Computer: I run a Power Mac G3 (oh yeah).
Instrument(s): I play piano, synth, a bit of guitar and bass, violin, and trombone (no, not tromboner).
Room Features (I have a pretty cool room, that's why I put this): Well, my room is set up with a sort or black and white scheme (White walls, black stuff). I wanted Black walls and yellow stuff, but my mom didn't go for that. I have a futon (why you would want to know that, I do not know) with white and black sheets, and I have the basic stero, TV, computer, NES, etc. My walls are completly covered in posters ranging from "TMNT II: The secret of the ooze" posters to M.C. Escher stuff except for one wall. That one wall I save for My friend's and mine's drawing or rambling space. Whenever one of us feels so inclined, we get a paint marker and paint up the walls. I have everything from a graffiti tag to the helpful phrase "salmonella is bad" to a number of creativly placed starbucks' and cactii. Turn off the light and it is a completely different wall, bathed in glow in the dark drawings for trippin.
Favorite movies: Let me tell you, a movie that changed my entire life and is my favorite movie of all time is: Fight Club. If you haven't seen it, see it The Wizard, The War, Wayne's World, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, Happy Gilmore, Wayne's World 2, Half Baked, American Beauty, and pretty much anything on the indepent film channel
Favorite Bands: Styles: I dig trance, classic rock, rap, alternative, jungle, hardcore, etc. I pretty much like everything. Artists: Pink Floyd, Paul Oakenfold, Norman Cook (fatboy slim), Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Offspring, Dj Irene, Dj Tom the funk docter (host of disflux :D), Harvey Danger, Living Sacrafice, Chemical Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins, Nada Surf, Bloodhound Gang, Beatles, Dust Brothers, Nirvana, etc.
TV shows: My all time favorite TV show ever is Ren and Stimpy. I also like: Roseanne, Divorce Court, and news radio.
I think I'll start by explaining my love for Hawaiian Shirts. It all started a couple years back, when me and my good buddy Cal started watching Bond movies.
We rented Goldeneye, and watched it, and were thoroughly impressed. Our favorite characted, hands down, was Boris Grishinko. He was a programmer, he was Russian, and he had great taste in clothes. Needless to say, we had to start a national holiday in his honor, creatively entitled, Boris Day. So the next day we went to a thrift shop, picked up some Hawian shirts, and were ready to roll. What we would do is wear a Hawaiian shirt and khaki pants/shorts to school, and hope people would catch our drift and join in. Well, only our good friends or people who felt dreadfully sorry for us did it, so we had about 10 people at once. Ahhh... That brings back memories.
Well, today, Cal occasionally wears Hawaiian shirts, but I wear them every day, no joke. I have a closet full of them (at least 20), all in a variety of makes and colors. I have three that are from Hawaii, and the rest are from malls, departments stores, even thrift shops. Now you know the story of me and the Hawaiian shirts.
UPDATE: I now still wear Hawian shirts, but I really enjoy buisness shirts, sports coats, and old man pants. I think I've found my passion.
Do you want to know about me and my Nintendo? I hope so because you are about to read it. No wait, don't go back, you might read something interesting here (no guarantees though). It all started back in 1988, when I got my first NES. That whole year, I had been going over to by best friend Nick's (he later changed the spelling to Nic) house everyday to play Nintendo. When I finally got mine, my whole life changed. I would wake up at six every morning and play untill my parents made me stop. It was so fun. When I had frends stay the night, we would wake up at three and go out and play (I didn't have a TV in my room at the time). I got a game a month, pretty much, because of allowance and stuff.
I remember one of my happiest Christmases one year, in fresno (that is where almost all of my relatives resided at the time), when I had my heart set on getting Super Mario Brothers 3 (my friend John had it, but his house always smelt weird, and he got mad at me for coming over so much, so I promised him I would get it {not very smart, eh}) but I had opened almost all of my preasents and the chances of me getting the game of my dreams was getting bleak. Finally, the last present, a tiny package, that couldn't even fit a cartridge, none the less the box that the game came in. I opened it, feeling dissapointed, when all of the sudden, a note fell out that told me to look somewhere. I went there, and there was another note. Note after note, I was getting very excited and intruiged. Finally, the last note, "Look in the pantry" I raced to the pantry, opened it up, and my heart filled with joy as I saw the fresh yellow package of SMB3, the best Mario game ever made (in my opinion).
My NES wasn't in Fresno, to my utter dismay, I had to hol off playing till I arrived the next day, and when I got home, what a surprise, a nice new TV set, filled up my eyes. I ran to my room, heart filled with glee, as I hopped on my bet, and set up my Brand New TV (sorry, I got a little out of hand)!
Well, as the years went on, I loved my NES and played pretty much every day. Then, I got a Genesis. It seemed like I locked up my Nintendo and threw away the key. I think I had a subliminal thing going that was like, "Hey, I can't play this thing, I would be degressing in technology" so I played Genesis. Now I can't say I never enjoyed it, but maybe I would play it once a week, on a good week, not every day like I did my NES. After a while I just lost interest in video games all together and moved on to other things (girls).
Well, after a couple more years, my NES and Sega getting dustier and dustier, I got on the web, and changed my video gaming life. First off, I found out that there are other NES preservationists, I thought I was the only one to think NES was better than all the new-fangled stuff out there (starting to sound like a corny "teen-life" video). Second off, I found out about emulation. It let me play all of the old NES games that I remember but never had (Godzilla, Duck Tales, G.I. Joe, etc.). Well, after the oh-my-god-I-can-finally-play-all-the-awsome-NES-games-without-buying-them feeling passed me, I got a new feeling of respect for the NES and all of its fans. Not to far from this point, I also started coding my own genies (I just with iNES would work with all game genie codes so I could code far and wide). I don't really mean coding because I just typed in randomletters (or ones that spelt out a cool word) and hoped they'd work.
I was getting really into the NES at this point, and I really wanted to share my feelings with the world, so I tried to get Netscape working on my comp, but it and AOL didn't work too well together, so I just took a side job, editing for the Toasty Zone (now an obselete website).
About 6 months to a year later, I was dinking around with Geocities and I found I could upload files now! It was the happiest day of my life (well, aside from getting my Nintendo, SMB3, finding Emulation, and, come to think of it, a lot of things). So, I got right to work, getting my logos ready on FC, and in a couple of days, I would switch to Geocities. And that, my friends, is the meaning of Christmas... Oh wait, I mean, and that my friends, is the story of me and my NES.
Sam (Kuririn)

"My NES Life"
When I was a young lad, my uncle had gotten an NES from another one of our relatives for Christmas, I was over there at the time, and I played it and I loved it. And my parents obviously liked it too. So we bought one. This starts a real happy time in my life. Not only did my friends and I play the NES , my parents did too. It was great. Around 1990 when I was about six my parents started losing interest. And so did some of my friends. But I still played the NES until 1992.... By 1992 my NES was looking pretty bad. The machine was in bad shape and my controllers were even worse. My dog had chewed the cords up. I thought that I might as well upgrade to a SNES. I received a SNES for Christmas that year, and I enjoyed it, sadly though, I was starting to forget about the NES I wouldn't really seriously think about the NES for four more years.
It was Summer 1996, it would be another few months before gaming would go to hell with the release of the N64. I was on the Internet one day, and I was bored, so I typed in the word NES on Yahoo! And a list of sites came up, I guess it was fate that I chose NES Nation. Waves of nostalgia were coming back at me at an alarming rate, all the good times I had as a kid were begging for me to come back. Unfortunately, I didn't know where I could by an old Nintendo( I didn't know about Funco or any of those stores). I wouldn't get another NES for two more years. In Spring of 97 I made what I consider one of the worse choices of my life, I bought an N64, God I don't know why I bought that over-hyped machine.
Finally in September 1998 I went to the store that I had read about on a website called Funcoland and rebought an NES. I fell in love with the games I grew up with all over again. And I haven't looked back since.
R H E T T
Yeap, in the interest of the NES community I'll be putting up my profile in interview style, with the question simply marked as "question" [I'm original :D] it is the better way to know more about my greatNES [ha] then the regular profile style of boredom.
Question: Welcome all to my interview of the next and newest addition to the NES scene, a great man of great fame that always has something good to say and commit on on both the NES and non-NES, and even though some would call him a person with a hidden flame-war-agenda he has added some spice to several NES boards including religious debate, drugs, and a lot more ahead.
Rhett: Thank you for that neat intro., I heard you are a pretty decent person yourself.
Question: Ah you're too kind.
Question: So you decided to join the NES scene?
Rhett: Yes, but enough about the scene, more about you, erhg me.
Question: So what's with the name Rhett? That's a pretty unique sounding name, a internet moniker?
Rhett: Oh no, my Mom liked the movie Gone With the Wind, and.........well I don't give a Da........
Question: Ah, so you're named after a movie character.
Rhett:Yes, DUH!!!!!
Rhett: Oh and even though I have started one posting on religion and drugs I didn't start the initial one that started the whole "OSG is Jesus" thing which did lead to a more open board to O.T., so don't pin it on me foo!
Question: Touchy! ):E
Rhett:Heh!
Question: friends?
Rhett: trying to dig dirt and other trash up on me with them?
Question: No! Just that King Sushi listed his, thought it would be a good question.
Rhett: Oh, okay, hmm, sadly most of my gaming friends either moved away or I moved, I am in contact with my three cousins, who introduced me to the NES, and I know three brothers at one church but I hardly see them anymore, I did have one friend that I was constantly with but he moved off too.
Question: Type and model of comp?
Rhett: HP Pavilion with......do you need to really know all this?!
Question: Instruments?
Rhett: NES controller. :D [I don't do music]
Question: Room?
Rhett: Don't ask!
Question: Favorite movie?
Rhett: Hmm, I ain't into the favorite movie, one I seen the most in theaters was Jurassic Park, but I like the Die Hard series, Red Dawn, about any type of War movie, major preference is WW2, doesn't even matter if it's a documentary or piece of fiction, like action types, hate drama, hate Stallone, stupid hypocritical fool,
Question: best tv series?
Rhett: Hmm, don't have a favorite, I like a lot of them equally, like all the Star Trek series, some more than others, some Home Improvement, Real Tv, Worst Disasters caught on camera, World's Wildest Police Chases, I like those extreme reality type shows and I have been catching myself watching a lot of national and international news, hate a lot of "reality" shows like Survivor, Big Brother, 90210, soap operas, etc.
Question: So what style of clothes do you wear?
Rhett: Hmmm, I have been in the dark look mainly because it looks cool, black jeans and shirt look pretty neat, and no one thinks I'm one of those odd Goth people either, I also like the khaki look too.
Question: So when were you born?
Rhett: December of 82.
Question: What are all your interest and hobbies?
Rhett: I like the NES [duh], model rocketry, both building and flying, target shooting, going to church, political debates, politics, about any combo the words discussion, religion, debate, politics, policy, election.
Question: That's scary, I do too.
Rhett: Foo, we are the same person.
Question: Like any music?
Rhett: Some, like some classical like Brahms Bach, Mozart, like new classical stuff like Vanessa Mae, like some silly "oldies" like Purple People Eater and Snoopy vs. the Red Baron, some Christian like DC Talk, Nsiderz, Amy Grant, the late Rich Mullins, FFH, anything with patriotic tones, [like William Tell overture, America, etc.].
Question: Like flame wars?
Rhett: Hey, no tough q's or you go right back into that creative area of my mind.
Question: But do you though?
Rhett: Well truthfully I think they are stupid yet funny on who all gets ragged on when and where, it is just so lame it's hysterical.
Question: On your political website http://communities.msn.co.uk/FreedomofSpeechAbusers ------------[shameless plug] you always criticize liars and hypocrites, does that make you one?
Rhett: Hmm, I may have outsmarted myself........want me to pull out the prozac?!
Question: Oh no! Not that stuff again!
Rhett: Better Back off dude, or the pill os going down!
Rhett: But really, we all in our less serious times of life are carefree and foolish,[this coming from a teenager, you know I'm aiming for political office], we all at one time or another do lie and have some hypocrisy, but usually we grow out of it and go to a higher standard,[just some people take forever to grow out of it], I hate people that constantly preach one thing and do another, and/or lie, especially if they are in a public office or are a role model.
Question: So don't like Mike Tyson games?
Rhett: Mike Tyson should be locked up, and they should put one of those guard disk around his head so he doesn't bite his ear off.
Question: So in your opinion what is the best game out there?
Rhett: You haven't been 'round the scene much have you?
Question: Yes, you should know that you schizoid foo, we are both new.
Rhett: well you don't ask any one that plays the NES what his favorite game is, he'll have a stroke trying to figure it out.
Question: Okay, top ten then?
Rhett: Hmm, let me think............
Rhett...............
Rhett:..........
Question: Have a stroke yet?
Rhett: I'M THINKING!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!
Rhett: Okay, got a few........
Rhett: Zelda 1
Mario 1,2,3, & arcade [heh, I can count them as one game :-d]
Pac Mania
Hmm, this is hard to do since I got a lot of games this year and they are good but haven't stood the test of time.......
Wizards & Warriors
Question: You like that trash from Rare?
Rhett: *Opening the Prozac now*
Question: Okay okay, I'll be quite!!!!!!!
Rhett: Exodus
Conflict
Ultimate Air Combat
My Pirate, which covers about thirty games. =)
Question: Cheater!
Rhett: Bubble Bobble
Pac Mania
Rhett: Not all are exact favorites because I play a lot of others as equally but those are the ones I enjoy the most the longest.
Question: What's your Nintendo story?
Rhett: It's listed on NESFan.com.
Question: What's your rarest game?
Rhett: Hmm probably my Tengen Tetris, maybe my soon to be bought Pyramid.
Question: What are your NES goals?
Rhett: I think I'll aim at owning most to all unlicensed NES games and most fun and popular licensed NES games, when I get that done I'll aim at a finished collection, but I don't think I'll go that large-scale.
Question: What do you do for collecting?
Rhett: Pawnshops and stores for rare stuff, really rare stuff is eBay, common and cheap games are from friends and trading and the NES scene people.
Question: Best accessory?
Rhett: That's a tough one, most successful and probably unique is the Zapper, it had very few games but was fun, and the basic NES controller was at-the-time downright the envy of all people that had a Atari, shoot the thing had three times as many buttons and options as the ol' 2600, but the Quickshot 128-N should be mandatory for shooter games like Galaga, [and so should the Fourscore since its a Quickshot], and the Power Pad would have been a super success if it had more non-sports based games like Short Order/Eggsplode, can't say I have a favorite but I think everyone should have a combo of the Zapper, a few the standard controllers, a few Beeshu Zippers and the Q-S-128-N, and the Power Pad, it should be standard for collector to have that set up.
Rhett:This concludes the interview. *twist open prozac and pops a few pills*

flamed and my name on it on my wall. 2 foot tall by 3
foot wide neon sign that reads "World of Nintendo" with
the Seal of Quality in neon above that. Various

movies, all Monty Python movies.
Favorite Bands: Nirvana, Guns 'N' Roses, Michael Jackson
(Yeah, you heard me!), Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Pretenders,
Tom Petty, Queen, pretty much whatever strikes me.
Favorite TV shows: The Simpsons BEFORE 1998. Every once
in a while, there will be a somewhat funny new one, but
they shouldn't have screwed with perfection. Jackass,
Married...With Children, Miami Vice, The A-Team, The
Dukes of Hazzard, King of the Hill, All in the Family,
Good Times, The Cosby Show, etc.
Hobbies (Besides collecting videogames): NASCAR, IHRA
and NHRA Drag Racing, Drawing, Eating, and Fishing
(saltwater and freshwater).
NES Story: I had wanted an NES SO BAD since I had played
Excitebike at my cousin Steve's house. I thought it was
the best thing ever. For Christmas that year (1989), I
told my mom that all I wanted for Christmas was an NES.
Well Christmas came and I opened all of my presents and
to much disappointment, I had not gotten any NES. I
began to cry and cry. My mom told me to stop because my
grandparents would be over in about 15 minutes and she
didn't want them to see me like that. I didn't care
though, so I continued to cry my eyes out. Then my
grandparents came in and they asked my mom what was
wrong. She said she didn't know and then my grandmother
came over and she told me that she had something that
might cheer me up. She told me to close my eyes and when
I opened them, she was holding a brand new NES Action
Set! Still sniffling, I gave her the biggest hug ever.
Then my mom went to the hall closet and returned with
copies of The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros. 2, and
most importantly...Excitebike! I spent the rest of the
day playing it and snuck back out of bed to play into
the next morning. My mom told me she found me snuggled
up to my NES when she woke up the next morning. That's
why it was my best Christmas and best NES memory ever.
Job here at NES El33t: Just a writer in general. Just
like at my house, my crap will pop up all over the place.
My favorite pasttime is to bug the crap out of my
history teacher, Mr. Hayes. He just got a divorce and is
living at home in his mommy's basement at age 53. I make
fun of him every day. Let's just say that if he hears
his name and then the phrase, "Flintstones Chewable
Viagra" again, I get suspended. He's a crossdresser by
the way. He wears bobbypins in his hair. He claims that
it keeps his hair out of his ears, but I asked him if he
feels natural in women's clothing. Barely escaped
suspension there too. Prefers a cameo over a necktie and
drives a purple Ford Escort. Gee, I wonder why he's
divorced? Little wifey probably caught him with the
mailman or something. I also make fun of everyone else
if they like me or not. The ladies seem to love it,
though. History teacher's mad about that too. He keeps
telling me after school that after I get thrown out of
class, the girls say, "We want Ross back, he's fun!" In
my true style, I ask him if his wife ever said that
about him and he sends me on my way, face beet red. BTW,
I'm nuts. I made 5 bucks off my friend Nathan for laying
down in the middle of the road. I've also singed off my
eyebrows lighting the grill. I look weird but it's great
for swimming. My mom told me it's from watching Desert
Storm instead of Sesame Street when I was little. Well,
that about explains me. Enjoy!

Instruments: HA! None. I am so anti-musically inclined. So much, that my farts are out of tune.
Room Features: Here at school, ummm. Computer, desk, bed. My desk is littered with action figures I don't play with. 2 Dealpools ('Pool and Mini-Pool), Alex and Necro from SF3:TS, Dr Evil and Mini-Me, 4 Battle Droids, and, a couple of shotglasses. Hey, I'm at college. ;) Nothing on the walls... I'm far too lazy to do it a fourth year. At home, nothing on the walls also (just moved in 2 years ago, give me time), desk, bed, 3 long boxes of comic books, binder of Garbage Pail Kids, entertainment center (aaand how), and of course, stacks and stacks of old Mads, comic strip books, and gaming magazines. Why pack anything away? I may and will need bathroom reading material.
Favorite Movies: [BLATANT PLUG] SPACEBALLS!! (It's currently down and I'm too lazy to fix the old site, damn net startups. If ifansci.com comes back up, TELL ME.) I have wide tastes, and will listen to just about anything... the funkier the better!
Favorite TV shows: Married with Children is my end all, be all favorite show. Al Bundy is god. I also like most sketch comedy shows, such as the State, In Living Color, Muppet Show. Simpsons are a staple, as is South Park and TV Funhouse. I mostly watch solely Comedy Central. Make your own judgements.
Hobbies (Besides collecting videogames): I used to collect comic books, until Deadpool (Marvel) and Bone (Cartoon Books) became the only readable book out there. I worship Deadpool, because it combines what I love about comic books, and silly and smart comedic writing. Joe Kelly (original writer from issues 1-33) is amazing. I like computing, joy.
NES Story: It all started with an Atari 5200. It was all downhill from there. So my parents decide to feed my interest with a NES. Yikes. Tattoo Nintendo on my forehead. NES on my birthday, as I got SNES, GB, VB, and N64 the same way. I must have rented over 200 games in my NES prime. I held onto my games after the SNES comes out (about anywhere from 60 to 100, can't remember) and start collecting when I realize how damn great some of these games are.
Job here at NES El33t: I have no clue yet! Hopefully maintaining outdated areas and writing new and funny material! Super fun time!

Hobbies: Anime, video games(of course), reading, writing,
meeting people on the internet(I'm really shy in real life, hence Shyguy Club),
hanging out with friends
Favorite NES Game: Crystalis
Why I Like the NES: The NES was a big part of my
childhood activities, since I was never really into sports or
outdoor activities. I liked playing two player silmultaneous
games with friends or my older brother whenever he was home.
I think the NES is still a great system because of it's huge
library of games. Many of these games are still fun to play today,
and I don't think any serious video gamer should pass up the classics
on the NES.
Favorite TV Show: Dragon Ball Z
Favorite Movies: The Wizard, Forrest Gump, Gladiator, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, any Star Wars or Star Trek(original crew) movies.
Favorite Bands: Green Day, The Offspring, Operation Ivy, 311, Ace of Base
Job Here at NES El33t: Right now, I will focus on writing reviews, since for
so long I have wanted to compile a huge NES game review archive. Hopefully, I can finally
achieve my dream. Also, I started The N-Files and Shyguy Club. Hopefully, I'll have time to
beef out those sections as well.
